Alison Gillespie, President
Alison began her career 25 years ago as a junior processor and has worked in all facets of mortgage and construction lending from wholesale operations, origination, processing, underwriting, closing and funding and collateralized securities. Currently, her position at Idaho First Bank is utilizing her expertise in construction lending and mortgage operations management and compliance.

 

Ryan Froehlich, VP/President Elect
Ryan holds the title of AVP Residential Loan Officer and originates Home Loans for Banner Bank out of their downtown Boise office located on Bannock Street.

Ryan has 10+ years of experience in mortgage lending and banking. Specifically his experience includes, Mortgage Origination, Management of a Mortgage Sales Team, and Conventional Loan Underwriting.

Ryan received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance and a minor in Outdoor Recreation from the University of Idaho. During college he was president of the club soccer team and was able to travel throughout Idaho, Montana, and Easter Washington to play soccer.

Prior to his last semester of school, Ryan went on an exchange to Nepal. During his last semester in Nepal, he trekked in the Annapurna Range of the Himalayas for 21 days, reaching an elevation of 17,800 feet and now can’t wait to return.

Dan Sullivan, Secretary
Dan Sullivan has more than 23 years in the lending and real estate field in the Treasure Valley. His dedication to the industry led him to serve on the Idaho Mortgage Lenders Association Board of Directors.

Dan is the Mortgage Loan Manager for Capital Educators Federal Credit Union. Dan, his wife Amy, and their two children enjoy cycling, skiing, golf, and travel. Dan is a 1987 graduate of Oregon State University with degrees in Finance and Economics.

 

Leah Marchbanks, Immediate Past President
I am a Treasure Valley native and have been providing mortgage financing to borrowers in the Boise area for over 25 years. I am a loan officer with First Mortgage Company. I have many tools to assist homebuyers realize the dream of owning their own home. Our programs include Conventional, FHA/HUD and VA, new construction (construction/permanent) as well as first-time homebuyers programs. I also have extensive experience with the shortsale and foreclosure markets.

In previous companies I have been an originator, production manager, secondary marketing manager and underwriter, including have an FHA Direct Endorsement underwriter. This varied background gives me a unique and rounded perspective on the mortgage industry.

I have been a director on the IMLA board off and on for over 20 years. I am also currently the Co-Chair of the 2106 Pacific Northwest Mortgage Lenders’ Conference.

 

Susan Semba
As Idaho Housing and Finance Association’s (IHFA’s) Homeownership Lending Vice President, Susan Semba oversees the single family programs including mortgage origination, secondary marketing, loan servicing and housing counseling.

Semba has extensive experience with IHFA where she has worked for more than 27 years. Prior experience included sr. mortgage servicing manager overseeing the implementation and servicing of IHFA loans, making the association one of the first HFA’s in the country to service its loan portfolio.

Susan helped develop IHFA’s IdaMortgage.com marketing programs, which included implementing the Advantage loan program to reach Idaho’s workforce. Through this program IHFA loans are not just for first time homebuyers, and are making homeownership affordable to Idaho’s workforce.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Idaho State University. Semba is a past president of the Idaho Mortgage Lenders Association currently serving on the IMLA board of directors, and is a past national president of the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women. She is a member of Capital City Development Corporation’s workforce advisory board, and previously served on the Fannie Mae Western Region Customer Advisory Board and the Idaho Department of Finance Mortgage Advisory Board.

 

 

Kevin Rice
Kevin graduated from San Diego State University in 1990 and began his career as a Mortgage Loan Officer at his uncle’s company in March of 1991. Kevin has held various positions in the mortgage industry, both in Wholesale and Retail, such as Branch Manager, Area Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and Corporate Trainer. Currently, he is the Senior Account Manager for Radian Guarantee covering S. ID, MT and W. WY. He has lived in Boise for over 23 years. His wife Shellie, and their 3 children love everything the Treasure Valley has to offer.

 

Cindy Bengal
Cindy Bengal is an Idaho native and has been immersed in the lending industry for 28 years. She is currently the business development officer/underwriting team lead for Idaho Housing and Finance Association. Earlier in her career, she held various positions for companies including GE Capital Mortgage Insurance, and KeyCorp Mortgage, Inc., and Security Pacific Bank.

Cindy is very active with the mortgage industry’s professional associations. She is a two-term President of the Les Bois Association of Professional Mortgage Women (NAPMW). She also served two terms as Northwestern Region Secretary for the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women, serving on their Executive Board. Cindy was the NAPMW Innovative Educator for 2012. She has also been awarded Affiliate of the Year in 2010 by the Idaho Association of Mortgage Brokers in 2012 by the Ada County Association of Realtors.

 

Patrick M. Hogan
Pat began his career in mortgage lending in 1999 as originator with First Security Bank of Idaho.

First Security was purchased by Wells Fargo Bank in 2000.

 

Lindsay Craven
Lindsay fell into the mortgage industry in 2005 and never looked back. The first decade was spent in Wholesale Lending in a variety of positions including Account Executive. Currently, she is an Account Manager for MGIC and covers all of Idaho and parts of Washington and Oregon. She loves that her job allows her to be part of all the different segments in the mortgage industry. She graduated from Boise State University in 2003 with a Bachelors of Business Administration. Lindsay currently lives in “The City of Trees” with her husband and two young daughters.

 

Justin Tripon
As a native of Nampa, Idaho, you can count on me to provide the local knowledge, products, and support that will help you navigate the purchase of your dream home. I have experience with a wide range of loan types, including FHA, Conventional, USDA, and construction.

I serve my customer with compassion, integrity, and tenacity. My passion is to go above and beyond my regular duties as a Loan Officer and help borrowers achieve financial success regardless of their situation and circumstance. And most important of all, I stick with my customers as long as it takes to get them into home ownership.

In my experience, people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. My mission in life, as well as business, is to have a positive impact on the lives of the people I encounter. My goal is to create clients for life.

Christine A. Barrett, President-Elect

Christine has been a resident of Idaho Falls her entire life. She is married and has one daughter who is now a young adult. She attended Idaho Falls High School and immediately after graduation took a position with InterWest Mortgage as a front desk receptionist. Since then she has never looked back. Christine began as a receptionist, then moved on to mortgage loan processing, mortgage loan closing, mortgage loan originating and now currently is a Mortgage Loan Underwriter with InterWest Mortgage. She has been employed with InterWest Mortgage for 20 years now. InterWest Mortgage specializes in residential mortgage lending and has been in business in Idaho Falls for over 30 years. Christine also enjoys spending her time volunteering and helping out with community events and has joined several organizations focused towards this passion. She was President of the Idaho Mortgage Lenders Association, Eastern Idaho Division in 2010 and is once again serving as President for 2018.  She is a current member of WCR and the Greater Idaho Falls Realtor Association where in 2009 she was awarded Affiliate of the Year. She has also served as an Ambassador for the Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce for the last 6 years and is the past President for 2013-2014. In the mist of loving her career in mortgage lending Christine also enjoys playing softball and golfing…. Pretty much anything that keeps her active. But most of all enjoys spending time with family and friends.

 

Taylor Irvin – Bio

Born and raised here in the Treasure Valley.  A Borah High School Lion and Boise State Bronco.  I have an entrepreneurial background and started in the mortgage industry in the year 2000.  I broke into the business as a hungry originator and learned I was extremely good with numbers and people at a young age.  So, why not put those two together?  After 5-years on the origination side I ventured into the management side.  I found that this was the perfect fit for me.  I currently manage 3 locations in the Treasure Valley with the fourth on its way soon.
My hobbies include snow skiing, wake boarding, and football.  My passion is in my family and career.

 

Andrea L. Chamberlain

I am currently a Loan Assistant at New Penn Financial, LLC in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  I have been in the Real Estate Industry for the last 20 years. Starting as a Loan Processor in 1997 in Boise Idaho. I moved back home to Idaho Falls in 1999 and started work at a Local Title Company. There I started as an Escrow Assistant and other positions and found my niche as an Escrow Officer in 2003. In October of 2016, I was offered an opportunity to get back into Mortgage Lending. I have volunteered/participated in many Real Estate Functions including holding the role of the President of our local BNI (Business Networking Inc.) group.

I am a single mom of 4 boys (2 grown, 2 home). I enjoy watching my boys participate in the many sports they are involved in. I also love to watch Live Sporting Events. You can find me cheering on my favorite sports teams, hanging out with family and friends. Also enjoy a relaxing Camping/Fishing Trip.

 

Emmett L Munson/Branch Manager – Umpqua Bank Home Loans

For the past nineteen years, I have been fortunate to acquire a very diverse background in the mortgage industry. I started as an investment accountant for an insurance company recording pass throughs for Mortgage Backed Securities in 1999. Today, I lead a team of residential mortgage professionals in the Treasure Valley. From my professional and academic experiences, I have been able to provide excellent customer service, education and mentoring in all things mortgage related.  My passion for teaching and educating people about mortgage financing; drives me to find additional mediums to deliver the message to achieve greater awareness for personal financial responsibility.

Helping my clients achieve the dream of home ownership is extremely gratifying, but educating them along the way is absolute satisfaction. My time in the industry has given me many opportunities to reach and affect people from all over the world and in the past seven to eight years, it has given me the opportunity to train and mentor new mortgage professionals so they may achieve their own personal goals and assist as many people as they possibly can in achieving home ownership.

I have an undergraduate degree from Idaho State University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix in Reno, NV. In my spare time, my wife and I enjoy spending time together and with our family. We like to do all activities and spend a lot of time on the weekends with our children at the West Y. If we are not at the Y, we are on the golf course!

 

Jordan Jacobs

I’m a Relationship Manager, for Northwest Farm Credit Services. We specialize in Country Home Loans, Lot Loans and All-in-One Construction loans.

We finance homes in the country with no acreage restrictions.  We can finance properties with or without agricultural income.  Our financial products and services are tailored to meet the needs of rural residents.  After working for similar organizations, I really believe that Northwest Farm Credit Services offers the best products, knowledge and resources to its customers.  I look forward to helping others enjoy their time with family and friends or enjoying their hobbies in the country.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, skiing, biking, fishing and hiking.

 

Adrian Esta

I have BS in Business Administration and have been a mortgage loan officer for the past 15 years. I have worked with document compliance in the past, and I love the challenges of our ever changing industry. I enjoy training and educating those around me whenever possible. Having been born and raised in Southeast Idaho I have a strong desire to be a part of its growth.

I have been married to my husband Joe for 20 years and we have one son and 3 dogs, we spend our free time camping, golfing and dirt bike riding.
